Halfway down Portsmouth's busy high street, a couple of young women are letting their hair down. However they're not doing it for the cameras.

The young women - and their energetic dog - are getting ready to embark on a 15km charity walk to raise awareness for homelessness. It's sponsored by Vivacity and is aiming to raise more than £200,000 for The Shelter, a homelessness charity in the city.

It's a hugely ambitious target but it's still early days and the women believe that if they can muster the support, Portsmouth could be one of the first towns in the country to follow the example of other northern cities who have turned to solar lighting to light up their high
